SCHOLASTIC CLAY TARGET PROGRAM (SCTP)
The Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) is the premiere youth shotgun training program in the United States for young shooters from 9 years of age thru college. ARPC has been a part of the program for over 15 years. Our SCTP team also competes in the AIM and MYSSA programs. AIM stands for Academics, Integrity and Marksmanship, and is the official youth program of the Amateur Trapshooting Association. The Missouri Youth Sports Shooting Alliance is an organization that represent all youth shooting sports in the state.
Young shooters from 9 years of age thru college practice Sundays and Thursdays from mid-January thru early September. Shotguns are provided on a loaner basis by the club for beginning shooters. Several large competitions are held throughout the year where up to 2,000 young shooters vie for trophies with some of the best shooters from across the country. Most of these competitions are held at Sparta, Illinois or at The Missouri Trapshooters Association near Lake of The Ozarks.
ARPC’s teams have been very successful in the past, garnering two National championships and numerous state titles. We have produced several Junior Olympians and All-Americans thru this program as well as many Missouri State Champions. Boys and girls compete equally in co-ed squads.
If you have a young person who wishes to hone their shooting skills to perfection in a competitive program, our SCTP program is the perfect fit.
