COWBOY ACTION SHOOTING

Cowboy Action Shooting attempts to give the shooter a taste of the Old West. Wearing period clothing and shooting period firearms (or replicas), matches require two single action pistols, one rifle (lever or pump action) and a shotgun, (pump, lever, or double barrel). Lead bullets in period calibers 1860-1900 (e.g., 44/40-45 colt-.38SPL, .44 etc.) are used.

We follow Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) rules at our matches, but you do not have to be a member of SASS to compete at ARPC.

Besides “Cowboy” matches, we shoot other fun matches including “Wild Bunch” and “Indiana Jones” as well as “.22 Matches,” all of which have different guns and rules. All are welcome – come for the shooting, stay for the people.
